I recently did an internship in the Courts, and I am left with the
question, is the justice system really just? I will discuss the term
"Sex Offender." When I hear that term I think of a rapist, a child
molester, or some random act of sexual violence committed by someone.
Not everyone deserves that term, especially when men have sex with these
underaged girls, and the girls look older than me, and I am almost 40-years old. Like in R. Kelly's situation, the world viewed him as a
monster or some kind of rapist; when the mother of the young lady should
have been the one that was looked down on. If a child is only 15, I
think that every parent should know where their child is. Some of these
parents send their children out into the world to do exactally what she
did, and what the little boy did to Michael Jackson. The courts are
quick to want to convict a man that is slepping with or that has slept
with an under aged girl, but I think that their parents should be
convicted of child neglect, and child endangerment, because if a person a
daughter that is underaged they should know where she is and who she
hangs out with. I have a 15 and a 14 year old, and I know where they are
at all times; I will even pop up where ever they said they were going
just to see if they were telling the truth. I know that the men should
take some responsibility and use better judgement, but it is up to the
parent to ensure that their children are where they are supposed to be.
"It is 10:00 does everyone know where their children are?"
